After hitting her heaviest weight of 276 pounds and slowly watching the quality of her life decrease from consistently poor habits, Nisha knew she had to make a change. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Nisha was extremely sedentary, overweight, and uneducated about nutrition. When severe asthma and the risk of a high blood pressure diagnosis were added to her list of major concerns by her doctor, she became non-negotiable about the goals she had for herself. Nisha became clear on the life she wanted to live. After giving birth to her son Liam in December of 2013, she decided it was time to make a huge change. Nisha dropped over 103 pounds through a healthy lifestyle shift. She became dedicated to eating highly nutritious meals and adopted an effective workout regime with the help of a personal trainer.
During her focused time to get healthy, Nisha discovered a need in the fitness industry for trainers who know exactly what it’s like to go through an extreme weight loss journey. With the growing number of messages from individuals looking for help, Nisha decided to make a pivot in her career and become certified to help others. Since obtaining her personal training certification, she has gone on to help hundreds of clients reach their weight loss and fitness goals. She believes proper nutrition and exercise are fundamental to living a well-balanced life, she truly enjoys helping others reach their full potential.
Nisha specializes in fat-loss through the use of High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T) if that’s your cup of tea. But in addition, she is well equipped to support endurance training, strength and conditioning, and functional and corrective exercise, so she’ll meet you where you are – whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro – to find a sustainable exercise routine that works for you. She incorporates functional trainings in workout programs to ensure clients can successfully improve their physical performance outside of the gym as well. History documentaries on the American Revolution and The Civil War, huge history nerd! I also love hiking with my 5-year old son Liam.
